Youth Platform at GALA Festival

EVENT

Commissioned by GALA, Youth Platform are set to return to the independent South London festival from June 2-4

Details

Peckham Rye Park, SE15 3UA

Thursday 2 - Saturday 4 June 2022

All day

FREE for Youth Platform members

Our young adults along with Youth Platform Coordinators Farrah and Ellie will create an installation that combines Cyanotype (a slow-reacting, economic and distinctively blue photographic printing technique) with large sensory objects made from recycled materials. This year’s installation is supported by partners Flat Time House and co-designed with artist Melanie Issaka.

Founded in 2016, GALA is an independent South London festival celebrating dance music’s lineage in Peckham Rye Park that champions originators, innovators and artists.

Tickets for the two-day festival are free for Youth Platform members. Register today for Youth Platform by sending an email expressing your interest to yp@peckhamplatform.com

Youth Platform is supported by The Portal Trust, Art Fund, Paul Hamlyn and Arts Council
