Mark Miller

Artists

Mark Miller is the former director of Tate Learning, where he led the vision and strategy for learning across Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, and Tate St Ives.

Since joining Tate in 2006, Mark has developed pioneering creative learning programmes, including Circuit, Tate Collective, and Uniqlo Tate Play. His work connects art, people, and place, fostering inclusive engagement and cultural growth.

As an artist, Mark explores the intersections between rural Jamaican and urban British experiences through multidisciplinary assemblages of drawing, sound, and moving image, reflecting on Black British experience, memory, and cultural symbolism.

In 2026, we invited Mark to be a panellist on our “What Got Me Here” panel talk during our Youth Platform x Arts Week 2026.
