The conversation offered insight into Jeffers’ practice alongside Otchere’s contribution to Black British photography, considering photography as both archive and witness while exploring how images hold history and shape identity.
The evening began with an exhibition tour at 5:30pm at The Hub, Camberwell College of Arts (UAL), before taking a 15-minute walk through the heart of Peckham to Jumbi — a natural shift from exhibition into conversation.
In Living Memory and its accompanying programme were part of our Memories for the Future project, made possible with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, United St Saviours and the London Borough of Southwark’s Culture Together, Neighbourhoods and Cultural Celebrations funds and generous support from Arts Council England. Memories for the Future ran from June 2024 through to March 2026.
