Thursday 6 August

6-8pm

Through personal stories, practical advice and an audience Q&A, we’ll explore the many routes, possibilities and challenges of pursuing a creative career in 2026.

The panel brings together a range of voices from across the creative industries, including Alisha O’Brien Coker (curatorial assistant for Modern British Art at Tate Britain, former curatorial fellow at New Curators), Mark Miller (cultural producer, consultant, artist and former director of Tate Learning), Elsa Farmer (former Peckham Platform trainee producer, graphic designer), Raine Allen-Miller (director and writer, widely recognised for debut feature film Rye Lane 2023) and Rachel Sale, our lead artist for this year’s Arts Week.

The discussion will be chaired by Levi Naidu-Mitchell, Peckham Platform’s Head of Learning and Community Engagement.

This conversation offers an honest look at the realities of pursuing a creative career, exploring both the challenges and the opportunities facing artists and creatives today.

We’ll finish the evening with an audience Q&A, followed by informal discussions over refreshments.

This event is free, open to all ages and is family friendly.
