Alt Går Bra

Alt Går Bra is an international group of visual artists based between Bergen, Paris and London. Together they research the intersections between art and politics through exhibitions, performances, printed publications, invited guests and an ongoing series of talks and seminars.

Alt Går Bra was founded by Agnes Nedregård and Branko Boero Imwinkelried in 2015. Run by the duo, Alt Går Bra is conceived as an art collective with an infrastructural practice – exploring ways of organising and working with others while transgressing borders between artist-run and institutional, art production and dissemination, artistic practice and art theory.

With roots in the opposite poles of the earth, South America and Scandinavia, Alt Går Bra interweaves situated latitudes into long-term and process-based projects.

Alt Går Bra has presented its work at over 200 spaces, ranging from small venues and community spaces to large institutions, including the National Museum of Norway Nasjonalmuseet, KODE Bergen Art Museum, Bergen Kunsthall, the University of Westminster, Palais de Tokyo, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

2016

On 14 December 2016, Alt Går Bra presented All’s Well, a new performative work at Peckham Platform and the final event in The Performance Studio’s 2016 programme.

The performance was developed in response to the Peckham Platform Retrospective exhibition celebrating 20 artist commissions and collaborations between 2010 – 2016. Presented on site, All’s Well was conceived in relation to this retrospective context.

The event brought Alt Går Bra to The Performance Studio programme at a point when the collective was developing a practice spanning performance, publishing, exhibitions and discussion around the relationship between art and politics.

Peckham Platform Retrospective was also the final exhibition presented in Peckham Platform’s former gallery on Peckham Square, giving All’s Well a particular place within the closing programme of that space.
