Community Day
On Saturday 22 March 2025 we ran a family-friendly day packed with exciting activities and creative experiences for all ages including an artist-led looming workshop with Zethu Maseko. This free event was part of our ongoing Memories for the Future programme, exploring community stories, creativity and shared experiences.
Curated Gatherings with Nabiséré Nicole
An immersive weekend of reflection, storytelling, and connection through the lens of personal style, culture, and memory. Led by interdisciplinary artist and designer Nabiséré Nicole, the gatherings explored the layered narratives of African and Caribbean diasporan communities, honouring the wisdom, care, and cultural identity embedded in personal histories.

On Tuesday 17 September 2024 we ran a symposium as part of our Memories for the Future project. The symposium with Blacks Britannica (Dir. David Koff, 1978), a powerful and previously banned documentary that serves as a focal point for examining how urban planning and architectural practices have impacted these communities.

On Monday 8 July 2024 a meditative Monday workshop at the Old Waiting Room explored the processes of making and memory. Artists Barbara Majek and Tyreis Holder guided this experimental textiles session for young people aged 18-25.

Artist Tyreis Holder collaborated with South London Refugee Association in workshops exploring therapeutic textile use. Youth discovered creative freedom, patterns, and design, shaping a public artwork. Participants found newfound self-expression, empowering their creative minds.

2022/2023 Impact report
We continued to lead The Peckham Partnership to deliver a three year programme Tilting the Mirror. The partnership formed a Black-led, intergenerational community steering group including Golden Oldies, Leaders of Tomorrow and Peckham Park Baptist Church who worked with us to deliver creative placemaking initiatives across Peckham spaces.

Sarina Mantle is an artist, designer and singer-songwriter based in Barking and Dagenham, London. Mantle works across print, fashion and music, incorporating patterns, florals, sacred geometry, intuitive tribal and ancient visuals to reconnect with the cosmic and natural world.

Multi-disciplinary artist Chisara (Agor) is a musician, actor and theatre maker based in Peckham and Madrid.

Yuh Figet Yuhself
November 2019 - April 2020
The project took its title from a conversation that Beverley had with an older friend. Speaking out of turn, the artist was met with the reply “Yuh Figet Yuhself!”. The statement was made in jest but served as a reminder that she had literally and figuratively forgotten herself.

Southwark Education Research Project (SERP) Reactivated
2018
Originally active between 1989 and 1995, SERP engaged over 1,500 children and teachers across 15 schools in Southwark. Its impact was felt nationally and internationally, serving as a model for educational innovation, including influencing the landmark DCMS Creative Partnerships programme.

Sonia Boyce came to prominence in the early 1980s as a key figure in the burgeoning black British art-scene of that time – becoming one of the youngest artists of her generation to have her work purchased by the Tate Gallery, with paintings that spoke about racial identity and gender in Britain.

343 Perspectives

In 2012, Peckham Platform commissioned Danish artist Nikolaj Bendix Skyum Larsen to make new work in north Peckham, an area in London with no train or tube and only one bus route, the 343. Larsen’s film 343 Perspectives is a set of video portraits of the people who use this bus.

In spring 2010 Peckham Platform selected artist David Cotterrell to work with residents from north Peckham on a project that would address the theme of identity for the area.
