Shari Mclawrence is a DJ, events curator and spatial designer with credits spanning Guap Mag, Sony Music, Somerset House and Reprezent Radio. Her practice is bound by a desire to champion the heritage of the African-Caribbean diaspora alongside exploring both the personal and political meanings of “home”.
These interests are channelled through Home Radio, a south London-based creative outlet Shari founded to spearhead local stories, community values and dancefloor sounds. Here Shari curates conceptual radio shows, intergenerational gatherings and educational initiatives as well as annual community festivals to spur social connection and civic engagement across diverse communities.
