The workshop was led by architect and spatial designer Bamidele Awoyemi. It began with a visit to basketball court and a discussion about the group’s experience of the space. Back indoors, Bamidele introduced participants to different ways of exploring pattern making and colour selection, thinking about how to make the space more vibrant and welcoming. This input will directly influence the final designs for the court, open for the 2026 summer holidays.
Participants received a free hot meal from a local restaurant. This project was supported by Southwark Council.
