Pass(Portal) is a free print and digital activity pack to facilitate creative conversations on the meaning of diaspora on a micro level, exploring home, culture, and travel.
Though it was designed with a classroom or homework setting in mind for KS3 and KS4, it is open and adaptable, appropriate for use in a variety of settings by all ages.
Families, children and young people, adults and community groups can all use this set of activities and prompts to explore their understanding and relationship with belonging and change.
It includes four activities contained in a foldable booklet, with templates, examples and prompts to get your creativity flowing and to support facilitators to lead these activities in their own settings.
- Activity 1: Coat of Arms. Design a coat of arms for the cover of your Pass(Portal)
- Activity 2: About Me. Complete the “about me” page in the front of your Pass(Portal).
- Activity 3: Stamps. Design a series of stamps to transport you to meaningful places that can exist in the past, present or future.
- Bonus: Through the Portal. Combine and expand your work from the previous three activities, by stepping through the portal and letting your creativity run wild!
